We moved to Vietnam from the UK. Solaris outsourced the packing (in the UK) to an independent packer. They were excellent. Solaris also secured shipping at a time when shipping was very limited (At the tail end of Covid lockdowns). So far so good. The Vietnam end with their partner company "Asian Tigers" was unfortunately an utter disaster. Wrong advice regarding necessary visas and procedures required to bring personal belongings to Vietnam, change of tactics despite improper knowledge of local laws, lack of taking responsibility for mistakes, no management follow- up. It was so bad that my wife ended up taking the whole complex job off their hands and handled the whole Vietnamese side herself dealing directly with customs officials, truckers and handlers to get our container off the boat, through customs and delivered to our home. Solaris did eventually give us a part refund but how can a part refund compensate for the tremendous frustration, worry, and doing their job for them?
