“House Removal Service – 26th August 2023”
I used this company for a house move, but the experience was more stressful than expected despite the hard work of the team. They arrived 30 minutes late, and there was no clear explanation for the delay. The workers lacked a job sheet or inventory, causing further delays as I had to explain what needed to be moved. They also didn’t have the proper tools on hand, leading to more wasted time. It was evident that the team lacked leadership and experience. The packing of the van was inefficient and had to be redone multiple times. Unfortunately, some of my items, such as mattresses, were damaged during the process. Communication with the company was another issue. Despite pre-booking and paying for four hours, I was contacted several times regarding additional charges. I felt these extra costs were unfair, given that the delays were caused by the company's lack of preparation and not by me. While the team put in effort, the move was poorly organised.
“Dreadful! Never use again!!”
Definitely a company to avoid using! They removal team have no common sense. They focussed on removing boxes from the storage unit, rather than my dining table, and 2 x chest of drawers, which they left behind. They charge a flat rate, followed by a per hour rate. Dont be caught out by this. It will cost you dearly! They removal team went missing for a two hour period. And then when they arrived at the new house, they operate a go slow where the removal men move one box at a time until. Then someone in the office threatens to take your possessions back to the storage place, unless you pay their extortionate surcharges. They even managed to damage an item of furniture for which I am still awaiting their insurance details almost two weeks later.
