“Bad experience”
They have no intermediary trucks. This did not work for us, as we had no furniture to move, only boxes. The truck we rented was half empty, but they justified it by saying that the next lower size (which we never saw) would have been too small for us. The difference costed us 100£, which would have been fine if known in advance.

Hi Mara, we feel that the review you have left on the Getamover web-site is inaccurate. During your initial contact with us, you stated that you only had 22 boxes and a T.V. to move; the actual item list we moved for you was; 3 suitcases, 2 chairs, plasma T.V. an air mattress, the 30 boxes you purchased from us, plus another 10 giant sized boxes. The vehicle we quoted you for would have been too small, and we could not have completed your move; it was only by chance that the team had a larger lorry with them from a job they did in the morning, prior to moving you at 2.00pm. Before our team commenced loading you were made aware that because your item list had increased, the quote would also increase by £100.00; from £145.00 to £245.00; which we feel is a very competitive charge. Customers who are asked to pay additional costs for a larger item list, never seem to appreciate the fact that if they had been honest with their list in the first instance, they would not need to complain.

Order placed less than 24h before moving. Company was responsive, easy to reach to discuss before and during the move as I had 1 night of storage.

I used Kings move to transfer the contents of a 2 bed flat (excluding furniture) from London to Kent. I found them fast and efficient, and very pleasant to work with. I would however recpmmend having them visit your property to assess thd cost/size of vehicle required, as their initial quote increased by miore than double once this was done.
